What a weekend!

We have still to see who the mining minister will be tomorrow morning but the weekend has been absolutely fantastic for communities throughout rural and suburban New South Wales, seeing the end of Morris Iemma, Michael Costa and particularly Frank Sartor.

On the local front, the highly inappropriate location for anything other than cattle grazing has again become impassable for Sydney Gas who want to move in in the next few weeks to drill a core hole.

When will they get the picture that Wollombi Valley isn't appropriate for what they want to do and excise the area from their PEL permanently? In the mean-time, we'll just keep doing our rain-dances and let the Brook speak up for itself...  Photos: Peter Firminger 7-Sep-2008
